10 Songs That Will Help You Win At Studying

What’s going on Gumship readers? It’s the start of May and that means all you good haksengs (students) should be getting ready to study for finals. I know a bit about school and studying. I have a Player Hater’s Degree (PhD), which means I was in school for twenty-two uninterrupted years. (That’s 6 years of elementary + 2 middle school + 4 high school + 4 college + 6 grad school = 22, for all of you mathematically inclined readers). Because of this, I know a bit about studying effectively without illicit substances. (Wait, does coffee count?)

One of the most effective ways is to put on those ear buds and listen to some good study music. Music, any music, as long as it puts you in a good mood, is found to have positive effects on performance. Selecting music to study to is not as easy as it sounds. If you’re reading esoteric academic text, listening to lyric-heavy music can be distracting but listening to Chopin may have you drooling on your course books. You want to avoid either ends of the spectrum. So here’s a list of songs that I find to be representative of this tactic.
