EJ Koh never had dreams of becoming a writer but as fate would have it, she picked up the pen and hasn’t stopped since. Now she’s getting looks from literary sites like Berfrois for her poetry, popping up on Flavorwire’s list of People Who Will Make You Care About Poetry, and putting out a sci-fi novel about revenge and other wild shit called Red. It didn’t all happen overnight. Well, maybe the discovery of her talent. But like all serious writers, that was only the beginning. We talk about that journey, her book Red, and uh, twerking at Columbia.
