Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo is a Box Office Hit!
The latest Evangelion movie did great this weekend selling 771,764 tickets and earning 1,131,004,600 yen (about US$13,913,200). That’s the highest weekend box office in Japan this year. It’s good to see the franchise is killin’ it despite debuting yearssssss ago. I might have to re-watch the series before I check this movie out because I forgot what happened (I watched it years back on VHS, okay?!). All I know is the battles were sick, Shinji was always tearing up like a little bitch, and I couldn’t decide who was cuter, Rei or Asuka. Oh yeah, and dude’s father knew how to brood. He brooded like no other, hands folded in front of him, always! Here’s the TV spot quick trailer:
