The Hennessey Venom GT sets the new record on the fastest sports car with top speed at 270.49 mph, upsetting the current record holder, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. The run was performed on a  3.2 mile space shuttle landing strip at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This whip looks insanely fast and listen to how the Venom GT roars as it speeds down the runway.

After watching this video, I must say that I did get a little sense of patriotic pride. America, we did it again.  So enough name dropping European sports cars, I’m waiting for the next rapper to spit a bar about the glory of this American muscle car. But until then, the Hennessey Venom GT costs about $1.0 million dollars and built only 11 with 30 planned. If anybody is looking to cop one of these bad boys, I would like to discuss a business plan to fund our perspective company vehicle. Just kidding.
