Christian Today has reported that, as of December 2011, the number of Korean churches in the U.S. is a staggering 4,096. As a result, the ratio of Koreans to Korean churches in the U.S. is far greater than the ratio in South Korea. There is 1 Korean church for every 350 Koreans in the US; in South Korea, there is 1 church for every 1,000.
Are Korean Americans overdoing it? MIGHT BE. It’s funny because I always hear about churches ‘stealing’ members from each other or pastors jokingly taking shots at each other.
