Chops (of the legendary Mountain Brothers) is one of the most slept on producers in the game. I mean, watch this video. Every layer he put on the beat, I was like, ‘oh shit, that’s hot!’. And then, he’s like, okay i’m going to add this layer, and I’m like, ‘oh wow, it’s a wrap, this shit crazy’. Then he busts out the singing and now I’m just like what is this Bob Ross shit?

CHOPS has kept a low profile as hip hop producer with some of the biggest production placements in the music industry. Originally a member of the Philadelphia hip hop group Mountain Brothers, CHOPS went on to produce for Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Bahamadia, Paul Wall, Talib Kweli, Ras Kass, Chamillionaire, Bun B, Raekwon, The Lonely Island, Dave Ghetto, DJ Revolution, DJ Babu, and more. Check out CHOPS producing a sample-free beat and also watch his interview with TheBeeShine.

Chyeah! I could hear Nas or Eminem on this shit.

Anyway, he has a new compilation on the way called Strength in Numbers. Be on the lookout. TRUST.
