21-year old Yong Hyun Kim smacked a kid in the mouth and broke his teeth. The boy seems to have forgotten why.
The boy told police he wasn’t sure why Kim struck him. He said he was seated in the theater when a man with “long hair and … 3D glasses” stepped over a row of seats and confronted him.
According to the boy’s account, Kim said something to the effect of, “You know what, I paid a lot of money to see this movie” and punched him in the face.
For his part, Kim said the boy and others were talking loudly during the movie and throwing popcorn, some of which landed on him and his girlfriend, a Kent detective told the court.
See? That’s that shit. You know the kid and his friends were being little shitheads, talking all through the movie and throwing popcorn. I mean, if you’re a guy, you probably did the same things growing up, I know I did. But damn, he’s going to get amnesia and play the innocent victim once shit gets real? We all deserved to get smacked like that when we were younger, but it’s hard feeling bad for him, especially nowadays, when tickets cost damn near 40 dollars for a pair (it was in 3D!). Chill.
There are conversations going on about this under the article with some folks applauding Kim while others are criticizing him for striking an adolescent. What do you think?
