If you haven’t noticed by now, many of your favorite sites look kinda funny today. But ain’t a damn thing funny son! The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect-IP Act (PIPA) are bills that are supposed to battle piracy and “protect creativity”. If passed, it will give the government the right to come in and censor whatever, whenever. Basically, we’ll be taking a step backwards into what the folks are doing over in North Korea (kind of an extreme example, but not really). Anyway, check out screen grabs of the sites protesting, courtesy of the homie alice chung.
