Tablet gadgeteers looking for options beyond the iPad have waited long enough, as the Android-powered Toshiba Excite X10 will soon be headed stateside. Already packing an impressive 1280 x 800 pixel display, the Excite X10 is also expected to be the thinnest 10-inch tablet currently available, thanks to its wafer-thin 7.7mm waistline. But more specifically announced are the final pricing specifications on the svelte tablet, where $530 will get you 16 gigabytes of memory, and the 32GB flavor will run $600.
Toshiba has not announced a specific launch date, but says the tablet can be expected to release in Q1.
Pretty impressive pixel display and also the thinnest 10-inch tablet is another plus. Don’t know how well it will compete with the iPad especially at a similar price range. With rumors saying that the iPad 3 is estimated to launch in March sometime I really don’t know how Toshiba’s tablet will do..
