Woah, dried kimchi! I can already picture my mom frowning at the thought, but hey, I’m not against new things. And my kimchi-fanatic dad too, probably. Looks like the good folks over at KoreAm copped a bag and sampled it.

We went out and picked up a bag, which retails for about $2.99. Upon opening, a distinct kimchi aroma wafted from the bag but nothing compared to opening a jar of the real stuff. The bag contained about 30 to 40 small shrunken pieces of dried kimchi, which looks kind of like potpourri.

The texture reminds one of sunflower seed shells with about the same saltiness. These things are mad jjjjjaaaa!

Ha! I need to try it out for myself.
