I don’t know if it’s an Asian thing (probably) but we looooove to brag about how much work we have and how long we’ve been working. Overall, it’s probably a good thing that we like to emphasize hard work, but sometimes, you gotta put some rest in there. When you’re just marathoning through work, you’re not as sharp and more likely to mess up whatever you’re so hard at work on. In this case, an Indonesian copywriter for Young & Rubicam actually fucking died. This was her final tweet before she collapsed and passed the next day:

Cot damn. And for what, advertising?!

It’s a rare case, yeah, but I think we can all learn from it. I know a lot of you are putting your hoodies on and camping out at the university library with your sleeping bags to study for finals. But yo, stop being an asshole and get some sleep too. RIP to this woman.

This is wild and also why abstain from working hard. It’s a slippery slope.
